TikTok Shop Malaysia is now informing the sellers and merchants on the platform, that they will increase the commission fee charge as well as the transaction fee, effective September 5, 2024. The commission fee charged by TikTok Shop is based on the product category and varies by category. So, what should you know about it?
In addition, for commission fees, sales of phones and tablets through TikTok Shop were previously charged at 2.70%, which will increase to 5.40% starting September 5, 2024. TikTok Shop shares the difference in charges that will be charged by product category through their support page.
Moreover, the transaction fee of 2.16% today will increase to 3.78% effective September 5, 2024. The transaction fee is a service fee charged by TikTok Shop to all sellers for successful order processing on the platform. TikTok Shop also charges a Mall Commission Fee for sellers with "Mall" status on the platform.
