TikTok Shopping tab now available to Shopify users in selected regions

Any platform with a high number of users can be monetised, and that seems to be what many companies intend. In the last few years, we've seen an increasing number of social media sites getting monetise in one way or another. Well, TikTok is next on the list.

TikTok made the announcement yesterday, confirming that TikTok Shopping is a new collaboration project with Shopify. This new pilot test will be conducted in the next few weeks and will be available to selected Shopify merchants from the US, UK, and Canada.

Essentially, TikTok Shopping allows users to add a shopping tab to their profiles. The tab will allow TikTok users to explore the merchant's products, or sending users to the merchant's site to checkout for payment. Besides that, the two companies are making product links available in-app, so merchants can tag them in TikTok posts as well.

So, what does it mean for the average TikTok user? You'll definitely be seeing more ad links on the platform in the future, so brace for it. But what do you think TikTok also becoming a capitalist's haven? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
