As you know, a lot of our fellow Malaysians love social media platforms. One of the more popular ones has to be TikTok, as it contains lots of short but quirky videos. Some people lament that these videos don't have high resolution, but that could change soon.

Yesterday, TikTok posted a guide to showcase some new features for its platform. Specifically, the service has added some new camera and editing tools for creators. One of them is Green Screen, which allows creators to add a green screen for their videos. There's also a new Visual Enhancement button that will apply exposure, low-light, and colour correction with a single tap. You can also add new sound effects of animals or musical instruments.

But the biggest part of the update is the video upload resolution. TikTok creators from selected countries can now upload videos in 1080p, which would result in videos with more details. To do so, creators can tap the "More options" button on the Publishing page and switch the setting to "Upload to HD".

Currently, it's unknown if the update is available to TikTok users in Malaysia. But if you've spotted any of the new features above, do let us know! For more news like this, stay tuned to TechNave.
