TikTok is testing a new horizontal full-screen mode. It basically allows the videos to expand for users to watch them horizontally, which works just like the one on YouTube.

TechCrunch reports that selected users are starting to see a new full-screen button on the regular square and rectangular videos. Tapping on it will enter the full-screen mode. TikTok has also confirmed that it's a limited test after several users found out about the feature.

It looks like TikTok and YouTube are getting to be similar to each other. YouTube launched YouTube Shorts to attract users who like short-form videos, while TikTok is testing this full-screen mode and also expanded the time limit of its videos to 10 minutes earlier. Will the line separating these two platforms become more blurry in the future?
