TikTok is now introducing three new features for content creators, including monthly rewards and artificial intelligence (AI)-based support. That said, what should you know about it?
Smart Split
Available globally on TikTok Studio Web, Smart Split automatically trims, adjusts frames, adds captions, and transcribes long content into multiple short videos ready to upload to TikTok.
For example, users can split a "day in the life" vlog or podcast episode into several short clips.
To get started, users simply need to upload content longer than a minute and select the part they want to convert into a short clip. Based on the selected part of the video, Smart Split can automatically determine the length of the video, or users can set a specific length.
Additionally, users can also choose different caption formats and adjust content into vertical clips. Once Smart Split generates a clip, users can select any video to upload directly to their TikTok account.
AI Outline
This feature is designed to help creators who need guidance in organising content before the actual recording. With AI Outline, creators simply need to enter command input or select the most searched topics through Creator Search Insights.
AI Outline will then generate video titles, hashtags, hooks, and content outlines, as well as give them an overall idea of how best to structure the content. Plus, AI Outline generates an outline that divides the video into six sections that creators can customise. For example, users can lengthen or shorten titles, refine hooks, and adjust the overall script idea.
Starting today, AI Outline is available to creators ages 18 and up in the United States, Canada, and select markets, with wider availability coming in the coming weeks.
Monthly Rewards
TikTok also announced revenue-sharing updates for its Subscription product, allowing creators to receive up to 90% of profits.
Now, after fees are deducted, creators receive 70% of TikTok's revenue share. Creators who meet additional requirements, such as having at least 10000 followers, 100000 views, and at least 3 subscription-exclusive videos in the past month, can enjoy an additional 20% monthly reward.
