Apple CEO Tim Cook has revealed that the company is currently facing challenges to keep up with the demand for its iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. In fact, the new iPhone 14 Pro models are so popular that the company is constrained from the day they were launched, prompting Apple to chase supply by ramping up production.

In an interview with CNBC’s Steve Kovach, Cook said that Apple is trying to get as much supply as it can in order to solve the demand. The popularity of the iPhone 14 Pro models comes amidst the company releasing its 2022 Q4 fiscal earnings which saw another record revenue for Apple.

According to data collected by Trendforce, the demand for the iPhone 14 Pro models far exceeds what Apple anticipated. It was also revealed that the tech giant asked its supplier Foxconn to increase production for both models by 10 per cent.

For now, Apple has changed its ratio for production for all its iPhone 14 models to focus up to 65 per cent on the Pro models. This adjustment was also made due to the vanilla iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus not performing as well as Apple has expected.
