Touch ’n Go Group today announced that it is working together with Yayasan Hijau Malaysia via Touch ’n Go eWallet to launch the Mission GreenPossible: 100 Million Trees by 2025 campaign. As the name would suggest, the campaign seeks to plant 100 million trees by 2025 and aims to contribute towards environmental conservation through the foundation’s efforts in planting more trees.
Yayasan Hijau Malaysia is an agency under the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and is under the purview of the lead agency, the Forestry Department of Peninsular Malaysia. Accordingly, through this collaboration, users can donate towards the cause in a seamless and paperless way by using the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app.
Those that donate towards the cause can view and track the campaign’s dedicated microsite, through the app or web in the form of a virtual tree. In fact, for every 100% grown virtual tree, a batch of actual trees will be planted by Yayasan Hijau Malaysia.
Upon planting the first batch of actual trees, the virtual tree will then restart to allow users to grow more virtual trees, further driving the planting of more actual trees. The mission is to get Malaysians to come forward together, donate and strive to conserve Mother Nature.
In this regard, Touch ‘n Go Group announced that it will also donate alongside the Malaysian public in its quest to ensure a greener Malaysia for future generations. Launched at the Glasshouse in Seputeh, Kuala Lumpur earlier today, it was officiated by Dato’ Indera Mohd Ridza Bin Awang, Director General, Forestry Department of Peninsular Malaysia, Mr Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital Sdn Bhd and Encik Amin Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan Hijau Malaysia.
