Touch ’n Go eWallet has expanded its financial offerings with the launch of the Visa Travel Card, a prepaid card designed specifically for Malaysians who frequently travel abroad. The new card promises greater convenience and savings for international spending, combining attractive cashback rewards with zero foreign exchange (FX) fees.
Key Travel Features
The Visa Travel Card rewards users with up to 3% cashback on physical overseas transactions under the “Visa Card Holiday Cash Back 3.0” campaign. Cashback is tiered based on spending amount — starting at 0.5% for transactions from RM 2, 1.5% for spends of RM 150 and above, and a full 3% for purchases of RM 300 or more.
Another standout benefit is the 0% FX markup, allowing travelers to make purchases abroad without incurring extra charges from currency conversion. In addition, users enjoy one free international ATM withdrawal per month, provided they’ve made at least one physical overseas purchase during that period. After the free withdrawal, subsequent overseas ATM transactions incur a RM 10 fee each.
Fees and Application

Applying for the Visa Travel Card costs RM20 in total, which includes a RM15 application fee and a RM5 delivery charge. The annual fee is RM8 but is waived for the first year. Each user can only hold one active Visa Travel Card at a time; activating the Travel Card automatically deactivates any previously issued Touch ’n Go Visa card.
Important Considerations
The cashback program applies only to physical overseas transactions, meaning online purchases, e-wallet top-ups, fuel, insurance, and crypto-related transactions are excluded. The card’s greatest value lies in foreign spending, making it especially useful for travelers who shop or withdraw cash abroad.
In essence, the Visa Travel Card is like an enhanced version of the existing Visa Card. With its 0% FX markup and international acceptance through Visa’s global network, the Touch ’n Go Visa Travel Card stands out as an alternative travel-friendly payment solution for Malaysians looking to avoid hidden fees during their trips.
