Touch 'n Go eWallet is the first official cashless transaction service in Penang's key herritage streets!

Touch ‘n Go now brings cashless experience to Penang’s key heritage streets around Geroge Town, Penang.  It is the first official e-wallet transaction across the Penang merchants stalls with the support of Penang State Government such as Armenian Street, Nagore Street, Chowrasta Market, as well as areas in Pulau Tikus and Tanjung Tokong.

It strikes into Penang supporting the local economic growth and also eliminating the need for paper transactions or receipts. This movement is in line with the Penang State Government’s agenda  “Penang2030” that focuses on improving the liveability, economy, Green and Smart State.” The cashless community movement drives Penang to become a more connected and smarter city.

The company also established partnerships with Penang homegrown startup brands such as MULA and DeliverEat, which uses the eWallet as a mode of payment. Penang Chief Minister, Chow Kon Yeow also mentioned that there will be more collaborations with TNG Digital such as LinkBike and eGovernment services. Touch ‘n Go eWallet is currently having 110,000 merchants nationwide with 7 million users and aiming to triple its merchant base in Penang within the coming year.
