Today, Touch 'n Go Group, via TNG Digital has launched GOprotect. It's a new platform where TNG eWallet users can purchase various types of insurance offerings. Currently, GOprotect features six insurance products such as WalletSafe, SafeTrip, SafeHome, CarInsure, CI Insure and MotoInsure.
With GOprotect, TNG eWallet users can purchase an insurance plan easily. TNG said users are guaranteed a hassle-free claim process through the 24/7 insurers' claim hotline, as well as keeping track of the insurance policies through the "My Policies" tab in the app. The company even claimed that getting an insurance plan can be done in less than three minutes.
According to the company, there are additional benefits in purchasing insurance plans within the app. You can refer to each insurance plan as a brief summary:
- WalletSafe - Starting from just RM1* for six months, users can get themselves protected with WalletSafe, in the event of death caused by accident or COVID-19, paying up to 10x the balance amount, with a maximum of RM25,000 in their eWallet and GO+ balance.
- SafeTrip - Starting from RM3* daily, users can get covered for travel inconveniences, medical expenses, personal accidents, and extra COVID-19 protection.
- SafeHome - Offering up to 66% savings and protects one's home against losses or damages for up to RM3 million for the building and up to RM50,000 for its contents due to fire, lighting and others. Users can also receive RM2000 cash relief and RM5000 per person in medical coverage. A free cancellation note is also provided for users to cancel their existing policy and get a full refund within 60 days of their policy start date if they are unable to terminate their policy with the bank.
- CI Insure - Offers a Lifestyle Assistance Allowance benefit which provides a cash allowance of up to RM5000 per month for up to 3 months, home nursing care, hospice care, palliative care and home cleaning expenses. Users can also obtain the Personal Medical Case Management Service provided by Teladoc Health, Inc.
- CarInsure - Free personal accident protection worth up to RM50,000.
- MotoIsure - Offers the option of renewing road tax in conjunction with their insurance purchases.
Also, TNG announced that starting from now until 31 May 2023, TNG eWallet will award 100% cashback to six lucky winners daily when they purchase any insurance products through the eWallet.
