Touch 'n Go eWallet officially launches GO+ and here are 9 things you should know

By now, many Touch 'n Go eWallet app users should have spotted the new GO+ function inside. But if you're somehow still under the rock, GO+ is a new financial investment feature that allows the users to have a low-risk money market investment. Malaysians can invest as low as RM10.

To access GO+, make sure you have the latest app version on both iOS and Android. After that, you can see GO+ on the user interface easily and just tap into it. Once you have followed the instructions, you can put in as much cash up to RM5000 per day or RM9500 in total from your respective bank. The daily return rate may change from time to time and the returns will be credited daily. 

There's also a Cash-Out feature that will allow the movement of funds seamlessly between the user’s eWallet and designated bank account. On top of that, the GO+ balances can be used for all eWallet payments as well. It should also be noted that only Malaysians above 18 years old and above can use GO+, below are some more things that you should know:

  1. Foreigners cannot use GO+
  2. Principal e-Cash is not a Shariah-compliant fund
  3. One user can only open one GO+ account
  4. You can add money (Cash In) anytime and as often as you like
  5. There is 0 sales charge, but there's a management fee of up to 0.45% per annum and a trustee fee of up to 0.03% per annum
  6. There's no maximum Cash Out amount if you opt to Cash Out to your bank account 
  7. You can't cash out to your credit card
  8. Your GO+ account will only deactivate if it's unused for 12 months in a row and with the balance below RM0.01
  9. Daily return rate is the net gain or loss of the Principal e-Cash fund for the day

P.S. -  We also asked them when will we be able to top up our TnG card from the ewallet. They replied that in Q4 2021, there are plans for a new TnG card to be released for that purpose
