Touch ‘n Go eWallet users can now use the app to pay for transport in Singapore

Users of the Touch ‘n Go eWallet can now use the platform outside of Malaysia, specifically across the Causeway in Singapore. Announced by the Touch ‘n Go Group via TNG Digital Sdn Bhd today, the company is collaborating with Alipay+ in allowing for the eWallet to be used in paying for ComfortDelGro taxis in Singapore.

In case you didn’t know, Alipay+ is a suite of global cross-border digital payments and marketing solutions operated by Ant Group, while ComfortDelGro is the operator of the largest taxi network in Singapore. The CEO of TNG Digital, Alan Ni in a statement today asserted that this is only the beginning of the platform’s expansion of payment services in the neighbouring country.

Alan then elaborated that it is the company’s goal to grow its expansion network and make payments throguh Touch ‘n Go eWallet seamless in Singapore as it is in Malaysia. Hence, the latest collaboration with Alipay+ will enable users to enjoy a hassle-free and seamless payment experience outside of Malaysia.

As part of the promotional campaign to commemorate this new collaboration, Touch ’n Go eWallet also announced that users can enjoy discounts to celebrate the launch. Users are entitled to an instant discount, from RM4 and RM6, off their total fare when they ride ComfortDelGro taxis on the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app until 25 June 2022. The discounts are varied at different weeks and capped at the first 300 transactions daily.
