By now, you should know that Donald Trump lost his election campaign and Joe Biden will be the new US President. Trump's defeat also got us thinking about two things - will the ban be lifted on Huawei and how is the TikTok negotiation thing going on?

There's no word about Huawei yet, but we do have some news about TikTok. If you haven't been following the news, Trump initially banned TikTok due to "security reasons" and accused them of being spies to the Chinese government. Supposedly, the deadline to meet is this week from the company's announcement of introducing TikTok Global, which includes Walmart and Oracle as partners as a solution to finalize the agreement, but Trump's administration has been quite quiet about it for 2 months.

Besides from being silent, no feedback was given as well for TikTok's proposal on data privacy and security framework. With this, the company is taking the matter into their own hands by requesting a petition in court to defend their rights. They also stated that they are willing to work with Trump's administration to resolve the issue as soon as possible but it seems that the latter has forgotten all about it.

It will be also interesting to see if US President Biden will lift the ban on Huawei. We just have to wait and see. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
