Yes, you better believe it. The Trump Organisation, led by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, has announced the launch of Trump Mobile. It is a new mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in the US, offering a "patriotic-branded" wireless service and a gold-coloured Android smartphone called the T1 Phone.

The 47 Plan: Unlimited Service with Extras

From the Trump Mobile website, the MVNO will cost $47.45 per month (~RM201). It is an odd numbering for the subscription fee, but this is a reference to Trump’s tenures as the 45th and 47th U.S. President. The package features unlimited network calls, text and data with high-speed data capped at 20GB, using networks from Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. It even includes roadside assistance, telehealth services, and free international calling to U.S. military bases abroad.

As for the T1 Phone, it is priced at $499 (~RM2.1K) and is available for pre-order with a $100 deposit ($424). Unsurprisingly, the phone is in a gold-tone finish, emblazoned with a T1 logo and American flag motif. The shipping is expected to begin from August to September 2025.

In terms of tech specs, the T1 Phone features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 16MP front camera, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The chipset was not mentioned, but it will run on Android 15 out of the box, accompanied by a 5,000mAh battery pack.

Other than that, the T1 Phone also has an under-display fingerprint reader and AI Face Unlock, a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack port. There is also a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, but the other two sensors aren't specified.

Proudly "designed and built" in the US?

The Trump Organisation emphasises the phone is "proudly designed and built in the United States," though experts point out that essential components (like AMOLED panels and camera modules) are likely sourced from overseas. Some tech analysts speculate the T1 may simply be a rebadged off?the?shelf model, possibly the T?Mobile REVVL?7?Pro, with a custom gold exterior.

Overall, Trump Mobile positions itself as a values-driven alternative for conservative consumers by offering a U.S.-branded smartphone and wireless plan with patriotic flair and added service perks. But sceptics question how much of it is pure marketing versus actual American-made hardware and unique technology.
