US President Donald Trump recently made comments on the CBS 60 Minutes show stating that NVIDIA's latest and greatest Blackwell chips would only be available to US companies. China and other companies would not get access, despite previous remarks by NVIDIA saying that 260000 Blackwell chips would be sold to South Korea, including Samsung Electronics.
Rumours have indicated that a scaled-down (downgraded) version might still be made available to China and other countries though. NVIDIA on the other hand has said that they are not welcome in China, while China has clearly said that they would not use NVIDIA chips for government purposes to avoid any possible US backdoor access.
