Twitter Blue has been an on-and-off-topic for a couple of months ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter, but it looks like the company is finally knowing what to do with it. Today, Twitter Blue is officially launching and verified Malaysian users would need to pay as low as RM30.75 per month.
If you visit the Twitter Blue page, you can see that there are two kinds of plans - the Annual and Monthly plans. Signing up for the Annual plan would make more sense because you can save 12% if compared to the Monthly plan. Comparing the two, an Annual plan is RM369 per year whereas the latter is RM420 per year. Interestingly, the plans on iOS is more expensive, offering RM519 per annual fee or RM600 per year if you go for the RM50 monthly fee.

Having a Blue tick is more than just showing your account is verified, as it also allows you to edit your Tweet, upload 1080p videos, create Tweets up to 4000 characters long and more. Also, your tweet would be prioritised to be one of the top replies, mentions and searches on Twitter. Twitter said that this can help to fight scams and spam as well as see 50% fewer ads on your home page.
