Twitter is working on another feature, and this time, it's something that the users have been requesting. According to the latest information, the social media platform is currently testing the downvote button, which basically allows the users to "unlike" a tweet.

The company announced that it had actually started testing the feature last July, and the feedbacks were mostly positive. It also seems like Twitter is deciding on three ways of implementing the downvote button. It starts with adding the downvote button right beside the heart-shaped icon, changing the heart-shaped icon to an upvote button to match the downvote button, to adding new thumbs up and thumbs down buttons.

The downvote button is for users to disagree with a tweet, and the company claims that it's not a dislike button, but aren't they the same? Furthermore, it's also mentioned that the number of downvotes won't be shown publicly, and the tweets won't be reordered based on the interaction. Take note that the feature is still in the testing phase, but we might see an official rollout in late 2022.
