In Twitter's blog, the company just announced that the videos shared on the platform will be getting two new updates. The videos will now be more immersive, expanding themselves to take advantage of the screen fully. On top of that, video discovery will also be launched.

To watch the video on full screen, you just have to tap on it on Twitter then it will fully expand to the whole display on your phone. That said, we think this only works if the Twitter user uploaded the video in full portrait mode. Those with a square-shaped or horizontal format will be viewed normally as usual.

Then for video discovery, it will appear at the bottom of the screen as seen in the image above. You can just scroll up to start browsing more videos and this works similarly to TikTok and Instagram. To exit the viewer, you can just click the back arrow in the top left corner.

At the moment, Twitter is planning to launch these two new updates in the next few days but only on iOS in English. On the other hand, Twitter will also add a new Explore tab to let you find more videos easily. This will be available to selected countries on iOS and Android in English.
