AirAsia recently announced a partnership with video game company SEGA and subsidiary ATLUS, as part of 'The Color Of Connection' campaign. So, what should you know about it?
For your information, thanks to the collaboration, it features two AirAsia planes decorated with iconic video game graphics of Sonic The Hedgehog and his friends such as Tails, Knuckles, Shadow and Amy Rose, as well as interesting characters from Persona 5 such as Joker and Morgana.
According to AirAsia, the Sonic The Hedgehog graphic design will decorate AirAsia X's Airbus A330 (flight code: D7) with aircraft tail number 9M-XXU. The plane with the Persona 5 graphic design will decorate AirAsia Malaysia's Airbus A320 (flight code: AK) with the plane's tail number 9M-AFF.
These two aircraft will fly to more than 100 destinations in AirAsia's flight network, including major cities in Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific such as Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Shanghai, and Sydney. Coconut Milk will also offer a special menu featuring Sonic the Hedgehog – namely Sonic's Golden Ring Cakes (doughnuts).
In addition, AirAsia will introduce exclusive items featuring Sonic the Hedgehog and Persona 5 designs. These items can be purchased from the first quarter of 2025 on all AirAsia Malaysia and AirAsia X flights, as well as at AirAsia MOVE Duty Free.
