As reported last week, Warner Bros. Discovery will be releasing Max, a brand-new streaming service for Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Replacing HBO Go on 19 November 2024, the company has given us the official prices for each plan in the Malaysian market.

Next month, customers can choose to opt for either Max Standard or Max Ultimate at the starting price of RM34.90 or RM52.90 per month, respectively. There's also a 12-month plan for both, sitting at RM279.90 or RM424.90 per year. By doing a quick calculation, going for the yearly plan is more cost-efficient for the long term as it becomes RM23.33 or RM35.40 per month, respectively.

Max Standard allows the primary user to stream on two devices at once in FHD resolution. Moreover, users can download 30 pieces of content to watch on the go. Max Ultimate has better benefits as it allows four devices to stream at the same time in 4K UHD and Dolby Atmos. Also, they can download 100 pieces of content (limits apply).

Existing HBO GO subscriptions will become Max subscriptions on 19 November and bring subscribers of HBO GO a brand new streaming service. Max will be available for subscription at www.max.com and via app stores, including the Apple Store and Google Play Store, as well as through local third-party service providers.
