Today, U Mobile Sdn Bhd has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with TIME dotCom. This is due to U Mobile's 5G initiative and if you have been following the news, the company has already conduct 5G trials with TIME's involvement, this will speed up the high speed and low latency backhaul solution.

During the ceremony, the reason why U Mobile chose TIME is that they were the first telco provider in Malaysia and the second service provider in the world to achieve the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) 3.0 certification (if you don't know what that means, it's an achievement). It will be interesting to see how their partnership turn out, as U Mobile's signal strength is fairly strong but just not enough coverage.

The MOU signing ceremony between U Mobile and TIME took place on 9 May 2019 at U Mobile’s Corporate HQ. The MOU was signed by Wong Heang Tuck, U Mobile’s CEO and Lee Guan Hong, Executive Director of TIME.
