While we are still waiting for Celcom, Digi and Maxis to announce their 5G adoption plans, U Mobile just announced a new Postpaid 38 plan that is 5G-ready. At RM38 per month, this postpaid has a total of 30GB of high-speed data and unlimited calls as well.

According to the U Mobile website, the Postpaid 38 has no speed cap at all and no extra charges will appear when the internet quota is empty. However, it is also noted that the speed will be throttled to 64kbps if you fully used up all the mobile data until it is refreshed. We assume that Postpaid 38 will switch to 5G fully once the company's servers are ready.

Additionally, you may top up another RM5 for the data booster or RM10 for extra three days of using the data. Only Malaysians and even foreigners above 18 years old and above can sign up for this new postpaid plan.

If you want to sign up, you can register yourself through mobile number portability port-ins or prepaid-to-postpaid conversion on U Mobile's official website here. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
