Today, U Mobile has announced Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan as its latest brand ambassadors, following the rollout of its ULTRA5G products and services. The duo, currently ranked among the world’s top women’s doubles pairs, were selected to represent the telco’s latest offerings, particularly its new-generation postpaid plans.
Spotlight on the ULTRA Family 128 Plan
As part of the partnership, the athletes will highlight the U Mobile ULTRA Family 128, which is designed with frequent travellers in mind. The plan includes built-in global roaming across more than 60 destinations, free incoming calls while overseas, and shareable data features that allow seamless connectivity across devices and users.
Back in Malaysia, the ULTRA Family 128 plan also introduces priority network access in high-traffic environments such as airports and stadiums. For users, this translates into smoother uploads, faster data speeds, and fewer disruptions when sharing content or staying connected during major events.
Meet-and-Greet Event at Sunway Pyramid
To celebrate the partnership, U Mobile will host a public meet-and-greet session with Pearly and Thinaah at Sunway Pyramid. The event is scheduled for 16 May 2026, from 1 PM to 4 PM, at the telco’s flagship store, where fans can meet the athletes and stand a chance to win exclusive merchandise.
Pearly Tan highlighted the importance of seamless connectivity while travelling, noting that staying connected immediately upon arrival helps with scheduling, coordination, and keeping in touch with family. Meanwhile, Thinaah Muralitharan emphasised the convenience of not having to manage multiple plans or data options across different countries.
Beyond the ambassador announcement, U Mobile is also stepping in as the official event partner for the Malaysia Masters 2026, which will take place from 19 to 24 May 2026. This further strengthens the company’s presence in Malaysia’s sports and digital ecosystem.

The announcement follows U Mobile’s introduction of its ULTRA prepaid, postpaid, and enterprise plans, powered by its next-generation 5G network.
