U Mobile will reduce the number of foreign shareholders to 20%

Today, U Mobile thanked the Malaysian government for being chosen to develop Malaysia's Second 5G Network. For this purpose, U Mobile also stated that it will work with a number of parties to make this matter a success, including SKMM and telecommunications companies such as CelcomDigi and Telekom Malaysia, in offering 5G-Advanced networks to customers.

In addition, U Mobile also said it is actively collaborating with technology providers including Huawei. U Mobile also said it will reduce the majority foreign shareholding in their company, to 20%, while ensuring better control in Malaysia. U Mobile also welcomes local investors to invest in their company.

Moreover, U Mobile said that today, its customers are using the highest 5G capacity in the country compared to other service providers. We have yet to confirm other details on the news. So, we should wait for more confirmation from U Mobile.
