Universiti Teknologi Malaysia is now the first university in Malaysia to have a specialised faculty focusing on artificial intelligence, and has already accepted the first cohort of students for the 2024/2025 academic session. So, what should you know about it?
According to UTM, the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence will receive a total of 101 students for this first cohort, of which 68 are male students, and 33 are female students. All these students will follow the Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence program for three years at UTM Kuala Lumpur.
Previously, the plan to open the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence was announced during the last Budget 2024, in line with the high demand in the arena in the world region. Besides UTM, several other universities have also offered artificial intelligence courses to their students. Hopefully, these trailblazers will pave the way for a better Malaysia
