It seems that Telekom Malaysia has recently sent out an update on their Facebook page, stating that some users might experience unstable or even loss of connection due to the breakage of the main cable. In terms of the location of the outage, it includes places such as Pantai Remis, Sitiawan, Tanjung Malim, as well as Tapah at the time of this writing.
Based on what was mentioned in the post, it seems that the cause of the cable breakage might be due to vandalism and Telekom Malaysia is doing their best to restore connectivity to the locations affected. On a side note, it seems that Maxis Fibre might also be affected due to the fact that they’re using the same backbone as Unifi.
