Since June 2025, Grab Malaysia has launched its first fleet of electric vehicles (EVs) at the KLIA, dedicated to airport transfers. The BYD M6 MPV EV was introduced as well, but starting this week, the company announced a major nationwide initiative offering rebates of up to RM25000 on BYD EVs.
Rebates Available for Most BYD EV Models
Running until 31 December 2025, the rebate programme covers nearly all BYD EV models, excluding the BYD Dolphin and Denza D9. Designed to make EV ownership more attainable for Grab partners, the rebate amounts vary by model:

Eligible partners will also receive a 2% rebate on parts when servicing their BYD EVs with cash payment. The offer is open to all registered and active Grab drivers and delivery partners nationwide, except those who have been previously terminated or banned.
Extra Perks and Support
The initiative forms part of Grab’s wider push to support partner sustainability and upskilling. Through collaborations with Giatmara and Carsome, drivers can benefit from training, financing, and trade-in support.
Grab’s new upskilling programme introduces TVET modules covering EV basics, vehicle maintenance, logistics, and digital services. The trade-in collaboration with Carsome offers up to RM3000 discounts for eligible vehicle purchases or exchanges. Additionally, Grab is offering fuel vouchers worth up to RM1000, depending on the driver’s service category and trip performance.
Driving the Future of Ride-Hailing
This new initiative builds on Grab’s earlier EV rollout, which saw the deployment of the BYD M6 electric MPV fleet at Kuala Lumpur International Airport earlier this year. The rebates and incentives are designed to lower the cost barrier for drivers adopting EVs and to align with Malaysia’s national goal of achieving carbon-neutral transportation.
Recapping the Campaign Details
The Grab x BYD rebate programme runs from 8 October to 31 December 2025. Active Grab driver and delivery partners can apply by visiting participating BYD showrooms or registering through the official Grab Malaysia website. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
