It seems that a recent coverage by mydrivers.com has mentioned that the upcoming Huawei Mate 40 smartphone, which is due to be released somewhere around H2 2020, could come with the HiSilicon Kirin 1020 chipset. While not much has been confirmed in regards to the exact performance specs of the aforementioned chipset, the source has mentioned that it might perform up to 50% faster compared to the Kirin 990.

Furthermore, it will most likely be manufactured using the new TSMC 5nm process which is 30% more power-efficient which could help improve the battery life the smartphone it is embedded in. With all that said, do take every bit of information with a grain of salt due to the fact that Huawei has yet to provide an official statement in regards to the leaked info.

Not only that, but there’s no news about the Malaysia release date and local pricing of the upcoming Huawei Mate 40 series smartphone.
