Did you know you could connect your phone to a Windows PC and access it from the latter? The Phone Link feature is only compatible with selected brands and smartphones, but it's a convenient way to keep track of your phone on a PC. And now that feature is getting an upgrade.

According to Windows Insider Blog, an upcoming Windows 11 update will integrate Phone Link into the Start menu. Your phone's status (like battery), shortcut tools, and apps will be available at a glance. From there, you can quickly perform tasks or access apps and files on your phone.

Additionally, the Windows update lets you see your phone's recent activities via the Windows 11 Start menu. Essentially, your notifications bar is now viewable on the Start menu. The best part of the update is you can now see all of this without touching your phone. All you have to do is press the Windows key on your keyboard to bring up the Star menu.

It was confirmed that this update is already being tested by users with the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3790. Also, iOS devices will be supported in the future. Are you a Windows Insider and have tested this? If so, let us know what you like about the update in the comments on our Facebook page.
