Update - foodpanda's online payment was previously down and after several hours, it's now back online
So it's not you, but it seems that foodpanda is experiencing an error for its online payment system. They have confirmed it on their official Facebook page and currently working to resolve to issue as we speak.
According to some of the comments, some have said the COD option isn't working on the app as well. Another also said that even though the online payment is unsuccessful, the credit or debit card still got charged. Whatever the problem is, the foodpanda team also released a statement on this matter:
"foodpanda is currently experiencing some technical downtime on the platform. We are aware that this is affecting the customer ordering process and we’re truly sorry for this poor experience.
The team is currently working towards resolving this situation as soon as possible. In the meantime, customers can reach out to [email protected] for support on their orders.
We would like to once again sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused, and would like to assure everyone that we are working hard to provide the best delivery experience for our partners, riders and customers as soon as possible."
While no reason is known (yet), they encourage customers who have ordered food and drinks this afternoon to opt for "Cash On Delivery" (or maybe it's best to not use the app for the time being).
