(Updated) Honor to unveil new smartphone with O cutout display on 22 January with 48MP sensor

It is confirmed! The Honor View 20 will be having a global release date on the 22nd of January 2019 in the City of Lights otherwise known as Paris! Posters show that the smartphone will be first device in the world with an in-display camera. Besides that, it also will be the first smartphone in the world to feature a 48MP Ultra Clarity Sony IMX586 sensor.

The teaser poster shows the outline of the smartphone with an O cutout on the display on the top left of the screen. The Honor View 20 was originally set to be released this month but was delayed. The smartphone is expected to be equipped with a triple rear camera setup as well as a rear mounted fingerprint scanner.

On the flipside, a recent leak courtesy of nashvillechatterclass.com dictates that the device will sport a 2310x1080 pixel display and it will be running on the Android 9.0 Operating System with EMUI 9.0 on top of it.
