Remember that new vivo smartphone that has a new front top-notch display? The vivo V9 seems like it's the real deal and it could come to Malaysia this year or sooner than later around March 2018. Unfortunately, information about the device is quite scarce so at this point, we can only speculate about it.
Based on the teaser shown above, the tagline "Now, we keep the doctors away." is from a popular phrase of "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away." With this, vivo is obviously hinting that you don't need to spend too much for the Apple iPhone X. We aren't sure if the notch is really smaller than the iPhone X or just a design, but it's rumoured to be vivo's largest screen display, possibly at 90% aspect ratio. Besides that, rumours also have it that the V9 is featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, while the front is confirmed to be 24MP.
Meanwhile, there's a new report that the phone will come sooner than expected. According to SIRIM's database, this model number vivo-1723 is probably the V9 and we are guessing late March or early April will be the released date.
