Updated web interface may have caused Instagram accounts suspended for no reason last night

Last night at around 9 PM, Instagram users experienced a real-life Halloween episode of not being able to access their accounts. Not only that, but it also affected a drop in followers (especially for influencers, hearsay) as their accounts got suspended accidentally.

As of posting this news, Instagram has already resolved the bug that causes a short-term panic for many Instagram users. From its tweet, Instagram Comms apologized and said "it was causing people in different parts of the world to have issues accessing their accounts and caused a temporary change for some in number of followers,".

Nobody really knows (except Instagram) what really happened, but sources say that it coincidentally happened around the same time as the app's updated web interface. Sources say that the menu links for Start, Search, Explore, Messages, Notifications, Create and Profile are now on the left side instead of the top. True enough, the Instagram web version now has a slight new look.

From time to time, WhatsApp and Instagram tend to have some problems. It was only last week when WhatsApp users experienced a global outage for no reason. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
