The vivo S1 is now officially out in Indonesia but it is definitely not the same variant as the S1 released in China. The smartphone comes with a few differences from its brethren in China, swapping the pop up selfie camera for a waterdrop notch, the Helio P70 chipset for the Helio P65 and the rear mounted fingerprint reader for an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The device is set to ship out on the 23rd of July and it comes in 2 colours which are Cosmic Green and Skyline Blue. The vivo S1 has also been announced to hit Malaysia soon but not much details about the device has been revealed here except for the design which looks exactly the same as the one launched in Indonesia. Since both countries are in the same region, it’s safe to say that the vivo S1 launched in Indonesia will be the one coming to Malaysia.

The vivo S1 features tech specs that include a 6.39 inch FHD+ AMOLED display, the screen touch ID (aka the in-display fingerprint reader), the MediaTek Helio P65 chipset, 4GB RAM +128GB of internal storage, 4500mAh battery capacity, a micro USD port, dual SIM support and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Camera-wise, the device comes with a 32MP selfie camera and a triple rear camera setup with 16MP + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (depth) sensors.

Yesterday, local distributor DirectD had hinted the price of the vivo S1 in Malaysia at RM1X99. Over in Indonesia, the device is priced at 3599000 Rupiah (~RM1062). If that’s the case, it is likely that the price of the device in Malaysia may be at RM1099. What do you think? Keep up with the latest vivo S1 updates in Malaysia on TechNave.com!
