Vivo X Fold 2 release: SD 8 Gen 2 chipset, 6.56-inch ~ 8.03-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits peak brightness and more for ~RM5808

The Vivo X Fold 2 was officially released in China today as the first foldable display phone to utilize a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 12GB RAM, 256GB / 512GB storage and 4800 mAh battery with 120W fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The 12GB + 256GB version will be priced for 8999 CNY (~RM5808) while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage version goes for 9999 CNY (~RM6453).

The main highlight of the phone remains the displays with a 6.56-inch AMOLED exterior display using a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels. When the phone is unfolded, the inner screen is 8.03 inches with a resolution of 2160 x 1916 pixels, 120Hz refresh rated, HDR10+ support, up to 1800 nits peak brightness and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Weighing in at 280g, the Vivo X Fold 2 measures 161 x 73.4 x 13mm ~ 6.7mm when unfolded. Camera tech specs include a 50MP OIS + 12MP ultra wide + 12MP telephoto triple rear camera. A 16MP front camera is placed in a punch hole in both the inner and exterior displays.
