Vivo and Alibaba’s Tmall are teaming up to manufacture an upcoming smartphone due to release around late Q4 2018. By utilizing Alibaba’s customer base of more than 500 million users, both Tmall and Vivo are able to develop a smartphone that is catered towards their target demographic of users. Vivo and Tmall have already kicked start their partnership by setting up an innovation lab where both parties are able to collaborate and develop the upcoming generations of Vivo smartphones.
I’m excited to see what both Vivo and Tmall are able to come up with especially when the smartphone market in China is filled with competition.
