Vivo iQOO Pro launched with Snapdragon 855 and 12GB RAM, price starting at ~RM1890

The vivo iQOO Pro was unveiled last night in China with tech specs and features that include the Snapdragon 855+ chipset, a whopping 12GB RAM and UFS 3.0 flash. This gaming smartphone’s price starts at 3198 Yuan (~RM1890).

Tech specs for the device include a 6.41 inch waterdrop display, the Snapdragon 855+ chipset, a choice between 8GB or 12GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB internal storage, UFS 3.0 flash, an in-display fingerprint reader, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual wifi technology support and 4500mAh battery with 44W flash charging support (can charge from 0% to 100% in just 50 minutes).

On the rear, you’ll find a triple rear camera setup with 48MP + 13MP (super wide-angle) + 2MP depth sensors. Nestled in the waterdrop notch is the 12MP selfie lens. The in-display fingerprint reader comes with more room on the sensor, allowing users more wriggle room thanks to the 30% larger fingerprint reader. 

In terms of appearance, the vivo iQOO comes in three colours which are Le Mans Blue, Racing Black and Phantom Blue. On the back, the words “Monster Inside” can be seen which can light up which is kinda cool. A Monster Touch button can be found on the side of the device so users can conveniently enable game mode. Besides that, the device also features a Superconducting carbon fiber liquid cooling system to make sure that the smartphone remains cool through gaming sessions.

The device comes in both 5G and 4G variants. The 5G variant comes with dual SIM trays which supports 4G+4G SIMs and 4G+5G SIMs. The vivo iQOO Pro 4G is priced at 3198 Yuan (~RM1890) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant and 3498 Yuan (~RM2067) for the 12GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. As for the 5G editions, the 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage is priced at 3798 Yuan (~RM2245), 3998 Yuan (~RM2363) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant and 4098 Yuan (~RM2422) for the 12GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant.
