If you are a fan of the classic PC games, then here's some great news for you. EA Games has announced that it will be releasing Command & Conquer Remastered Collection to the Steam and Origin stores on 5 June 2020. Now, you get to enjoy this real-time strategy (RTS) series with better graphics and a remastered soundtrack.

As it is a collection, it's not just Red Alert that you will be getting as part of the package. EA has confirmed that players will be getting both Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert to sink their teeth into. In addition, the Covert Ops, Counterstrike, and The Aftermath expansion packs will also be included.

For those wondering: What's different? There's going to be an in-game toggle that lets you switch the game's graphics from classic mode to the remastered 4K graphics on the fly. This way, you can really appreciate the higher polygon counts and texture levels for everything in the remastered version. As for other features and improvements, the music, soundtrack, and the UI alerts from EVA have also been reworked. Good stuff!

Of course, the best part about RTS games is when you get to play it with others. C&C Remastered Collection not only comes with skirmish mode, but also a reworked multiplayer system with Elo-based matchmaking, normal quick matches, and also custom games. There will also be a leaderboard and you can view replays of matches you've played.

If you're a big fan of the series, you should check out the Special Edition and 25th Anniversary Edition. It comes with physical goodies and memorabilia for the game, such as posters or a replica Mammoth Tank (anniversary edition). However, this is a limited production that will only be available until 10 April 2020, so take note of that!

Having said all that, how many of you are excited about the emergence of this classic in its new form? Which reworked part are you most happy about? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news on tech and games.
