With the month of Ramadan coming to an end, Waze has graciously released a few predictions as to how the “Balik Kampung” traffic will pan out for the year of 2019 as to help fellow road warriors stay safe on their ride back.

The first prediction by Waze is that there will be an increase of up to 18% more drivers on the highway than normal this year, as compared to last year’s statistics. Not only that, road users are expected to drive longer on the road with an increase of up to an average of 83 minutes as well. With the food culture being strong in us Malaysians, it is expected that trips to restaurants as well as grocery stores will likely increase during the Raya festivities as well.

That being said, Waze has also provided various tips to help you get through the long drive back. First of all, they recommend road users to leave the Waze app on as to help road users estimate their drives more accurately. Secondly, the Waze app also allows the users to pick the routes that are either more familiar to them or even routes that exclude tolls.

In case you didn’t know, Waze is also well integrated into various music partners such as Spotify, Deezer, Pandora and more. So why not pick a piece of music from those partners, that will help you stay excited on your “balik kampung” trip! For more updates like this, stay tuned to TechNave.com
