Popular GPS navigation app Waze is removing its iOS widget in the latest updates to the app. The widget, which is for the left-most home screen on iOS is being removed due to “significantly low” usage.

According to a forum post by the Google-owned platform, Waze confirmed the removal of the feature that was first introduced in iOS 8 back in 2014. It is unclear whether the company would be bringing the widget back in another form such as a full widget on iOS.

According to 9to5Google, Waze v4.92 appears to be the version where the widget is removed by the company. Well, given how useful widgets could be, especially one that shows traffic information, let’s hope that it would be resurrected in a better form in the future.
