Every year, Apple hosts its next Apple Event in September. While there's no official announcement yet, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg thinks the company would have it on 7 September 2022. Almost a week after that, the sales could happen on 16 September 2022.
Obviously, we would be seeing the new iPhone 14 series and the Apple Watch Series 8. There has been a couple of rumours going on for the former, most notably for the camera technology for the pro variants, a new A16 chipset and removing the notch for a pill-shaped + punch-hole cutout.
Not only that, the new name scheme rumour has been going strong and consistent over the past few months. If it's true, Apple may release a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, alongside a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max model. The 5.4-inch iPhone mini line could be swapped out in favour of the non-pro max model, due to poor sales.
As for the Apple Watch Series 8, rumours have it that there could be three new models - a standard one, a pro variant as well as a revamped Apple Watch SE. All these three new Apple Watches are expected to have a larger body display, a new look and more rugged too. Apple may not reveal any new iPad series as it may be saved for the one in October.
Typically, Apple would announce the official date in a week before the launch. Gurman has also said that Apple is already preparing the pre-recorded event so there won't be any physical ones. Also, he said several retail employees are preparing for the sales on 16 September.
As for the Malaysian market, we have been getting the new iPhone sales quite early over the years so do expect them to happen in September 2022 too. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
