A previous report has claimed that Apple will hold an event to announce a bunch of new products on 23 March. The list includes the long-awaited AirTags, iPad Pro with mini-LED, AirPods 3, and a new Apple TV. Sadly, the latest source is saying that we might have to wait longer for one of the products and that's the refreshed AirPods.

According to reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the AirPods 3 will not enter mass production until the third quarter of 2021. As Kuo has proven himself right more than once with several leaks, it is hard for us not to trust him. Furthermore, the source also mentioned that Apple usually only announces new products that are ready to be launched, even if they’re delayed by a few weeks or months.

To recap, the upcoming AirPods is expected to sport a design that is similar to the current AirPods Pro. However, it will not come with the Pro features which are Active Noise Cancellation and removable ear tips. According to the leaked renders that we saw previously, the new AirPods could have shorter stems and also a smaller charging case.
