Western Digital officially announced their WD Blue 3D NAND and SanDisk Ultra 3D SSDs featuring the World's first client SSD with 64-layer 3D NAND technology for Malaysia today. These super fast drives can store plenty of data all the way up to 2TB, ideal for gamers and those needing fast performing computers.
Read speeds for the WD Blue 3D NAND and SanDisk Ultra 3D SSDs can go up to 560MB/s, while write speeds go up to 530MB/s. Both have a 3-year limited warranty but internal studies show that the larger the capacity, the more durable and long-lasting the SSD becomes. Both are being offered so that those who like WD can go for WD and those who like SanDisk have that option as well.
The WD range starts from RM620 - 250GB to RM3800 for the 2TB in 2.5-inch drives with a slightly higher price for the M.2 2280 form factor. The SanDisk range just offers the 2.5-inch form factor for the same price. Check out the WD site or SanDisk site for more details.
