WhatsApp Companion beta now available for Android users to link up to 4 devices at once

We have talked about WhatsApp Companion mode before and according to a new update from a source, the feature is currently in WhatsApp Beta for Android. Not only that but we also learn that this mode allows a single account to link up to four devices at the same time.

As an extension of multi-device support, only an Android phone or tablet is allowed as a second device. So even if you are using an iPhone as a primary WhatsApp device, you can still link to a second Android device. Of course, this is currently in beta so it's just a heads-up for all WhatsApp beta users.

Using WhatsApp Companion will allow other linked devices to sync all your chat history. However, some features like managing broadcast lists and posting an update status aren't available yet for beta testers. The source also said despite linking more than two devices, all messages and calls remain end-to-end encrypted.

This is a pretty good update for Android WhatsApp users in the future. As for iOS WhatsApp users, they would have to wait a bit longer for WhatsApp Companion. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
