Are you the type that doesn't want too many apps on your PC? Many platforms have web versions, so you don't have to download an additional app, but these tend to have limitations in some way. For WhatsApp Web, it was the lack of voice and video calls. Now, that's getting fixed.
Finally catching up
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is doing a gradual rollout of voice and video calls for WhatsApp Web. The call features are now available to WhatsApp Web beta users, with other users expected to receive the update in the coming weeks. Also, WhatsApp Web will support group calling for up to 32 participants.

For group calls, users can schedule them and send call links, which makes it a good alternative to Zoom or Google Meet for smaller groups. All calls on WhatsApp Web will have end-to-end encryption too, so only participants can hear the conversation. Web calls will also support screen sharing, allowing you do remote presentations.
As WhatsApp Web gets more updates, will its functionality completely overlap with that of the WhatsApp PC app? Or will WhatsApp think of a way to keep the latter unique? Share your thoughts in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
