WhatsApp desktop has been around for quite a long time. In fact, it's been around even before 2020. Apple Mac users were left wondering if it would ever come but it's official. Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed the new WhatsApp app for Mac.

In the new WhatsApp app for Mac, the function is exactly the same for Windows. Mac users will be able to make group calls with up to 8 people on video calls and up to 32 people on audio calls. Moreover, you can also join a group call after it's started, see your call history and choose to receive incoming call notifications even when the app is closed.

From the WhatsApp blog, it mentions that the app has been redesigned for Mac users. You can also share files easily by dragging and dropping them into a chat, and viewing more of your chat history. Of course, WhatsApp for Mac keeps your personal messages and calls private across devices with end-to-end encryption.
