Not sure about you, but we've been enjoying using the emoji reactions on WhatsApp. If you're not, it's probably because you can't find your favourite emojis from the limited six options. Soon, you might love it as not only you can react with all the emojis but also GIFs.
According to WaBetaInfo, the update is already available for beta users on iOS and Android. It adds a 'plus' icon to the pop-up when you long click on a message. After that, you can select any emoji you like or go further with the GIFs. It's worth mentioning that other messaging platforms such as iMessage and WeChat only let you use stickers as reactions instead of emojis, so the thing WhatsApp does here is quite impressive.
WhatsApp has been bringing updates that some of us actually want. These include adding waveforms to the voice notes to skip the silence or letting users leave a group quietly. The messaging segment is fierce with Apple, Telegram, WeChat, and even Facebook Messenger plus Instagram from WhatsApp's parent company. Therefore, it's no doubt that WhatsApp has to keep up to keep its users.
