WhatsApp beta now has split view mode for Android tablets

If you've ever worked on tablets, you would realise that some mobile apps aren't optimised for larger screens. Some developers don't make tablet versions of their apps, so they just end up looking like larger versions of their smartphone counterparts. Well, WhatsApp is looking to fix that.

According to WABetaInfo, the Android version of WhatsApp beta has received a new update that's relevant for tablet users. This enables a split view on tablets, so you can have the menu or chat groups on one side and conversations on the other. In other words, it works more like WhatsApp desktop instead of the regular mobile interface.

Besides that, WhatsApp has other changes on the way. One of them is a redesign for the chat attachment menu for the iOS version, which should make the app more intuitive experience and easier to navigate. The company is also working on a way for users to silence all calls from unknown numbers. This could be super handy for us Malaysians, as there are more spam calls via WhatsApp these days.
