WhatsApp users are allowed to send view-once photos to others. Soon, they'll also be able to send view-once messages. WABetaInfo discovered that the feature is currently in beta testing and could make its way to the global audience in the coming weeks.
Works just like view-once photos, recipients of the view-once messages can only access them once. After that, the messages will be gone. Besides that, there's also another feature called 'Disappearing messages'. It allows users to choose when the messages will be deleted after a time limit.
It's said that these features are to get rid of some privacy concerns. Sometimes, you would want to send something that is a 'one-off'. Therefore, these features would come in handy when you want to do so. Since they're in beta testing, it's believed they're about to roll out in the near future.
