Based on a tweet by @WABetainfo, WhatsApp could possibly come with a feature that allows it to be used on multiple devices simultaneously. While they have not given us an ETA of when this feature will be available, the new update gives users greater flexibility when it comes to communicating via WhatsApp.
While not much is known on how they are going to implement this feature, speculations have mentioned that Facebook might authenticate users similar to how iMessage verifies their users. With all that said, do take every bit of information with a grain of salt as Facebook has yet to comment on tweets.

I can tell that the iPad app is READY but WhatsApp will release it when the feature to use the app from more phones (at the same time) is ready.
